Vijayawada's 'Outer Waiting' Ends: Satellite Stations Rayanapadu, Gunadala Ready!

Vijayawada's long-standing 'outer waiting' issue for trains due to platform unavailability will soon be resolved.
•
South Central Railway developed Rayanapadu and Gunadala as state-of-the-art 'satellite stations' under the Amrit Bharat Station scheme.
•
Rayanapadu (Rs. 19.90 Cr) is ready, and Gunadala (Rs. 35.5 Cr) is transforming, featuring modern amenities and connectivity.
•
Trains from Secunderabad will stop at Rayanapadu, and those from Visakhapatnam at Gunadala, diverting traffic to reduce main station congestion.
•
Both stations are targeted to be fully operational as terminals by Krishna Pushkarams in 2026, with improved city connectivity.
