158-Year-Old Sabeya Airport in Gopalganj Set for Revival, 432 Acres Cleared

• The historic Sabeya Airport in Gopalganj, established in 1868, is being revived under the UDAN scheme after years of neglect.
• District administration has completed land registration for approximately 432 acres, with encroachment removal and boundary construction starting soon.
• MP Dr. Alok Kumar Suman is funding boundary construction via MPLADS; the airport will transfer from Ministry of Defence to Ministry of Civil Aviation for domestic flights.
• Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary have assured support for the airport's operationalization.
