Adouri-Khoripakad Bridge Approved: Bagmati River to Connect Shivhar, Sitamarhi, Champaran

• The Road Construction Department has approved the construction of a high-level RCC bridge over the Bagmati River between Adouri Ghat (Shivhar) and Khoripakad (East Champaran).
• The 3.2 km bridge and approach road will significantly reduce travel distance between Shivhar, Sitamarhi, and East Champaran, cutting a 25 km detour.
• Estimated cost is 20,540 lakh rupees, funded by the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund (CRIF); DPR and fund allocation proposal sent to Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.
