High-Speed Corridor to Link Baba Baidyanath to Pashupatinath, Cutting Travel to 4 Hours

• A new high-speed corridor will connect Baba Baidyanath Dham (Jharkhand) to Pashupatinath Temple (Kathmandu), reducing travel time from 14 to 4 hours.
• The 250 km Pashupatinath-Baidyanath Expressway aims to boost religious tourism and cross-border connectivity between India and Nepal.
• The corridor will pass through Bihar districts like Supaul, Madhepura, Saharsa, Khagaria, Munger, and Banka, ending in Deoghar, Jharkhand.
• Bihar's Road Construction Minister, Dilip Kumar Jaiswal, confirmed the proposal has been sent to the central government for approval.
• The project, part of Bihar's 8,260 crore rupee road budget, is expected to strengthen trade, tourism, and economic ties, with a five-year completion target.
