Bapu's Historic School, Cradle of PMs and CMs, Now in Ruins and Filth

• A historic school in Darbhanga, Bihar, once a hub for freedom fighters and a nursery for leaders, is now dilapidated.
• Mahatma Gandhi himself laid the foundation of this National School in 1920, making it a significant site during the freedom struggle.
• Alumni include former Bihar CM Karpuri Thakur and former Nepal PM Matrika Prasad Koirala, alongside freedom fighters Baikunth Shukla and Brijnandan Sharma.
• Despite its glorious past, the school is now in ruins, with collapsing classrooms and widespread filth, used for open defecation.
• Bihar State Advisory Council member Ujjwal Kumar calls for immediate government intervention to restore this heritage site.
