Bihar: JE Attacked by Villagers Over Electricity Dues, Skull Fractured

• A Junior Electrical Engineer (JE) was brutally attacked by villagers in Bakraur, Gopalganj, while attempting to recover outstanding revenue and prevent electricity theft.
• The JE, Shariq Aseer, suffered a fractured skull after being assaulted with sticks and sharp weapons.
• The incident occurred when the JE and his team visited Deepak Kumar Pandey's house, against whom a previous electricity theft case was registered and who was illegally using power.
• Deepak Kumar Pandey, his son, and others allegedly dragged the JE into their house, assaulted him, and threatened his team.
• An FIR has been registered at Sidhwalia police station, and police are expediting action; the injured JE is in serious condition.
