Gaya's Vishnupad Corridor: Modern Development Preserves Ancient Traditions

• District Magistrate Shashank Shubhankhar chaired a key meeting on the Vishnupad Temple Corridor development in Gaya.
• Decisions include keeping the 16 altars around the sanctum sanctorum as is and continuing Pind Daan on Falgu River banks traditionally.
• Shijuar Dharamshala and other historical buildings near the temple complex will be preserved as heritage structures.
• The corridor will feature modern facilities like cascade lighting, clean water, toilets, CCTV surveillance, and parking.
• Sitakund, Mangalagauri, and Akshayavat will be integrated, with a strong emphasis on preserving the cultural and religious significance of Pitru Paksha rituals.
