Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayan Singh expressed gratitude to CM Nitish Kumar and PM Modi during his farewell speech.

He thanked Nitish Kumar for sending him to Rajya Sabha twice and PM Modi for the opportunity to serve as Deputy Chairman.

Singh also extended thanks to Home Minister Amit Shah and all NDA leaders for his nomination.

His tenure in Rajya Sabha concludes on April 9, having served for 12 years, including as Deputy Chairman for a significant period.

A former journalist, Harivansh Singh has been a Rajya Sabha member since 2014 and was re-elected Deputy Chairman in 2020.
