• Son of general store owner Sunil Kushwaha, Sanjiw's success sparked celebrations in his village near the India-Nepal border.
• This was his third attempt; in his second, he secured AIR 583 and was undergoing IRS training, but aimed for IAS or another central service.
• He began UPSC preparation after graduating from Delhi in 2022, reaching Mains in his first attempt (2023).
