Ayushman Bharat: What Treatments Aren't Covered? Know Before You Go!

• Ayushman Bharat Yojana provides free treatment up to ₹5 lakh annually for economically weaker families, primarily for hospitalization.
• OPD treatments, standalone diagnostic costs, and general medicines/tonics for health improvement are not covered.
• Routine dental treatments (fillings, cleaning) and cosmetic surgeries (tattoo removal, weight loss, neck lift) are excluded.
• IVF and other fertility-related treatments are also not included under the scheme.
• Government employees, income tax payers, ESIC beneficiaries, and organized sector employees with PF deductions are ineligible for the Ayushman card.
