Delhi Budget 2024: Rs 12,000 Crore Boost for Infrastructure, Transport; Jam-Free City Ahead

Delhi CM Rekha Gupta presented her second budget, focusing on infrastructure, industry, and transport sectors.

A total of Rs 11,666 crore allocated to MCD, Rs 5,921 crore to PWD, and Rs 8,787 crore for Urban Development.
•
Rs 1,392 crore for 750 km of dust-free roads, plus Rs 1,000 crore extra for MCD road development.
•
New Semiconductor and Drone Policies planned, with Rs 48 crore for Common Facility Centers and Rs 10 crore for Warehouse Policy.
•
Transport sector gets Rs 8,374 crore, including Rs 2,885 crore for Metro Phase-4 and Rs 568 crore for Namo Rapid Train.
