• Other major suppliers include Iraq, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and the United States, alongside spot purchases from Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East.
• India maintains Strategic Petroleum Reserves (SPR) in underground caverns at Visakhapatnam, Mangaluru, and Padur for emergencies.
• Current SPRs cover about 39 days of consumption, with plans to expand to 65-90 days.
