•India has successfully concluded 9 Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) covering 38 countries, giving priority to Indian shipments in approximately two-thirds of global markets.
•Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal stated that these agreements will boost Indian goods, services, agriculture, fisheries, and labor-intensive sectors by providing market access and enhancing talent movement.
•India is preparing to finalize an FTA with Chile this week and initiate talks with Canada, aiming to move forward during the Canadian Prime Minister's visit.
•Goyal highlighted India's youth power and human resources as key to its growth, producing 2.3 million STEM graduates annually, and sees AI as a transformative force creating new opportunities rather than eliminating jobs.
•Industry leaders emphasized AI's role in boosting productivity and reducing costs, while also calling for increased R&D spending and learning from China's infrastructure development.
