Jhansi Station Sets Record: Ballastless Track Built in 40 Days, Boosts Safety & Efficiency

• Indian Railways' Jhansi Station completed a 672-meter ballastless track on Platform No. 3 in a record 40 days, becoming a role model.
• The project, started on November 25, replaced old washable apron with modern ballastless technology for durability and cleanliness.
• Ballastless tracks minimize maintenance, prevent waterlogging, enhance passenger safety, and improve train operations for 35 years.
• Work involved removing 1400 cubic meters of debris, pouring 700 cubic meters of M-40 grade concrete, and fitting 1120 sleepers.
