BAT Affiliates Sell 9% ITC Hotels Stake for Rs 3,856 Cr; HCL Capital Buys 7%

• British American Tobacco (BAT) affiliates offloaded a 9% equity stake in ITC Hotels for approximately Rs 3,856 crore on December 5.
• HCL Capital was the largest buyer, acquiring nearly 7% stake (14.57 crore shares) in ITC Hotels for Rs 2,998 crore.
• Six other global and domestic investors, including Societe Generale and Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, purchased the remaining 2% stake for Rs 858 crore.
• Following the transaction, ITC Hotels shares finished 0.87% lower at Rs 205.91.
• Separately, K2 Family Private Trust bought 2.75 lakh shares of Polyplex Corporation from First Water Fund for Rs 22.55 crore.
