RailTel Shares Jump 2% on Rs 1,136 Crore Maharashtra Government Contract Win

• RailTel Corporation of India shares surged 2% after securing a significant contract worth ₹1,136.18 crore.
• The contract is for modernizing offices of the Inspector General of Registration (IGR) and Controller of Stamps under the Government of Maharashtra.
• RailTel, in a consortium with Ashoka Buildcon, will act as the Managed Service Provider (MSP) for this project.
• The estimated financial impact over the five-year contract period is approximately ₹1,136.18 crore, based on an accepted rate of ₹24.75 per page and an average of 9.18 crore pages scanned annually.
• Additionally, RailTel received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) for a ₹35.54 crore railway signalling project, to be completed within 24 months.
