•The case concerns their privacy policy and alleged data sharing practices.
•Bench previously criticized Meta and WhatsApp for 'playing with the right to privacy' and creating a monopoly.
•NCLAT had upheld the Rs 213.14 crore penalty but set aside a ban on data sharing for advertising.
•Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology to be made a party to the appeals.
