Delhi Students Become Job Creators, Earn ₹600 Crore from Startups at Yuva Festival

• The Delhi Government's Department of Higher and Technical Education organized the Startup Yuva Festival 2026 at Dr. Ambedkar International Center to promote startup culture.
• Union Minister Jayant Chaudhary and Delhi CM Rekha Gupta inaugurated the exhibition, which saw participation from 11 universities, 12 colleges, and 19 ITIs.
• Higher Education Minister Ashish Sood highlighted that over 75,000 students are connected to the Young Investors Program, and 470+ student startups have generated ₹500-600 crore.
• The Neenv Curriculum provided ₹20,000 each to 5,000 school-level student teams, totaling ₹10 crore in seed grants.
• The festival offers equity-free grants of up to ₹10 lakh for 6 startups and ₹1 lakh for the top 100; a new Delhi Startup Policy with ₹325 crore for 5 years is forthcoming.
