JEE Main 2026 Result: All India Rank Based on Percentile, Not Marks
•NTA released JEE Main 2026 results, including NTA Score (percentile) for Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and overall.
•JEE Main rank is determined by percentile, not percentage or raw marks, to ensure fairness across varying difficulty levels of shifts.
•Percentile indicates how many students a candidate performed better than in their shift, while percentage is marks out of 300.
•Normalization process brings marks from different shifts to a common level, calculating percentile for each shift separately before combining for rank.
•If a student attempts both sessions, the higher percentile achieved is considered for the final rank.
