• He achieved this remarkable feat while battling Stage IV Lymphoma (cancer) for two years, undergoing chemotherapy sessions.
• Diagnosed in March 2024, Gurudatt studied between painful chemo sessions, turning setbacks into motivation.
• Despite a previous academic backlog and an earlier GATE attempt, he persevered, appearing for two subjects in 2026.
• Gurudatt, from a humble background, now aims to pursue research at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, crediting mentors and family for support.
