• Sriprakash Shukla, a wrestler from Gorakhpur, became a notorious criminal after a 1993 incident where he killed a man for whistling at his sister.
• He fled to Bihar, where he became the right-hand man of Mokama don Surajbhan Singh, establishing dominance in railway contracts and coal black market.
• Shukla gained national infamy by assassinating Bihar minister Brij Bihari Prasad in 1998 with AK-47s inside IGIMS Hospital, Patna.
• His downfall began when he accepted a 6 crore rupee contract to kill Uttar Pradesh CM Kalyan Singh, prompting the formation of the STF.
