Delhi's Yamuna to get luxury houseboat, a palace on water

• Delhi will soon have a luxury houseboat on the Yamuna, similar to those found in Kashmir and Kerala.
• Delhi LG V.K. Saxena initiated the project, with the DDA tasked to develop this "floating palace."
• The houseboat will be 9 meters high, featuring multiple decks, rooms, and intricate Persian-style carvings using various woods.
• Designed for a 50-year lifespan, it will include meeting spaces, a reception area, dining facilities, and a gallery.
• The project aims for completion by May-June 2026 and will be located near Basera Park at Sarai Kale Khan.
