•Chaitra Navratri, a 9-day festival dedicated to Maa Durga, begins on March 19, marking the Hindu New Year.
•Ghatasthapana's auspicious time on March 19 is from 6:52 AM to 7:53 AM, as per Ujjain's Jyotish Acharya Anand Bhardwaj.
•The first day worships Maa Shailputri, daughter of Himalaya, who rides a bull and holds a trident and lotus.
•Worshipping Maa Shailputri brings mental stability; unmarried girls are believed to find desired partners.
•Offer white barfi, milk sweets, cow ghee halwa, rabri, or mawa laddus, then recite Durga Chalisa/Devi Kavach and perform Aarti.
