He called the decision 'unconstitutional' due to an incomplete voter list, warning of legal complications for the ECI.

Bhattacharya labeled it an 'illogical and meaningless decision' and a failure of the Commission to complete the voter list.

He expressed concern that the move could lead to 'chaos and panic' returning to West Bengal, echoing past experiences.

CPI(M) had previously urged the ECI to postpone the announcement until over 60 lakh 'under consideration' voters' names were reinstated.
