Mamata's Bhabanipur, Suvendu's Nandigram: Key Election Dates Announced!

Election schedule for West Bengal, Assam, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Puducherry announced by Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
•
West Bengal elections to be held in two phases: April 23 and April 29, with results declared on May 4.
•
Nandigram, Suvendu Adhikari's constituency, will vote on April 23 in the first phase (152 seats).
•
Bhabanipur, Mamata Banerjee's constituency, will vote on April 29 in the second phase (142 seats).
•
Commission to deploy large central forces and observers for free and peaceful elections, despite fewer phases than 2021.
