Husband hands wife to friends for gang-rape in Surat; 3 arrested, 1 absconding

• A 25-year-old woman in Surat was gang-raped after her husband, while intoxicated, handed her over to his friends.
• The incident occurred in May 2025, when the husband and three friends consumed alcohol at their home in Laxman Nagar Society, Kapodra.
• The husband was present and allegedly involved as his friends took turns raping the woman, who was also verbally and physically abused.
• After the incident, the husband continued to pressure his wife to have relations with his friends, leading her to leave home.
• Three accused, including the husband, have been arrested; a 'Look-Out Circular' will be issued for the fourth accused, who is in Dubai.
