•BJP-backed independent candidate Satish Nandal faced defeat despite receiving 16 MLA votes.
•Congress candidate Karmveer Bodh narrowly defeated Satish Nandal, securing 2800 vote value against Nandal's 2733.33.
•The counting was delayed until 9:30 PM following Election Commission intervention.
