HP Kabaddi Selection Row: Govt Bows to Hunger Strikers, Forms Fact-Finding Committee
•Two Kabaddi players, Preet Chandel and Sanjeev Kumar, ended their five-day indefinite hunger strike against alleged irregularities in the Himachal Pradesh Kabaddi team selection.
•The protest, held outside the SDM office in Nalagarh, alleged favoritism and injustice in the team selection for the Senior National Kabaddi Championship.
•Youth Services and Sports Minister Yadwinder Goma ordered the formation of a fact-finding committee to investigate the allegations.
•Nalagarh MLA Bawa Hardeep Singh intervened, facilitating a discussion with the Himachal Pradesh Kabaddi Association President Rajkumar, who agreed to conduct fresh trials.
•The fact-finding committee, comprising an Additional Director, District Officer, and a senior Kabaddi coach, is tasked with submitting its report within 15 days.
