Assam Tables Rs 62,294 Cr Interim Budget for FY'27; Flagship Schemes to Continue

• The 'Orunodoi' poverty alleviation scheme expanded to nearly 40 lakh families, becoming Assam's largest social assistance program.
• Assam's GSDP expanded by 45% between FY 2019-20 and FY 2024-25, outperforming national growth, with per capita income more than doubling.
• The state aims to become a Rs 10 lakh-crore economy by 2028, with significant investments in healthcare and land pattas for beneficiaries.
