Bengaluru: ITPB Metro Skywalk Opens, Connecting Metro to Tech Park
- •The ITPB Metro Skywalk, connecting Pattandur Agrahara Metro Station (Purple Line) to International Tech Park Bangalore (ITPB) and Park Square Mall in Whitefield, is now open.
- •The elevated walkway is expected to benefit approximately 55,000 professionals at ITPB and reduce commuting time for daily metro users.
- •Jointly inaugurated by Gauri Shankar Nagabhushanam (CapitaLand India Trust) and Subramanya Gudge (BMRCL), it marks BMRCL's continued efforts to enhance pedestrian connectivity to commercial hubs.
- •The 320-foot-long, 24-foot-high skywalk, built with durable steel and concrete, ensures safe pedestrian movement, bypassing busy roads, and features LED lighting, ramps, and elevators for accessibility.
- •BMRCL plans more such projects, including a large-scale connection between Bosch and Lakkasandra Metro station, with private developers also contributing to integrated access points on the upcoming Blue Line.
