Delhi Govt Clears Metro Phase V, Central Vista Corridor After Centre's Nod
- •Delhi government approves Phase V(A) of Delhi Metro project, including a key corridor linking the Central Vista, after Centre's clearance.
- •Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced the project, estimated at Rs 12,014.91 crore, with Delhi government contributing Rs 2,940.46 crore.
- •Three approved corridors: RK Ashram Marg to Indraprastha (via Central Vista), Tughlakabad to Kalindi Kunj, and Aerocity to Indira Gandhi Domestic Terminal-1.
- •The RK Ashram Marg to Indraprastha corridor (9.91 km) will connect administrative and cultural locations, benefiting 60,000 government employees and two lakh daily commuters.
- •Aerocity–IGD Terminal-1 corridor (2.26 km) will provide direct metro access to the airport, and Tughlakabad–Kalindi Kunj corridor (3.9 km) will improve connectivity in south and south-east Delhi.
