India gains preferential access to 70% global GDP, two-thirds of trade: Piyush Goyal
•Union Minister Piyush Goyal announced India now has preferential market access to nearly 70% of global GDP and two-thirds of global trade.
•This achievement follows a series of trade agreements, including nine FTAs with 38 developed economies and a bilateral trade agreement with the US.
•The government launched seven new interventions under the Export Promotion Mission (EPM) to address exporter challenges and promote inclusive growth.
•EPM aims to enable MSMEs to scale globally, strengthen India's competitiveness, and ensure trade gains reach smaller businesses.
•India is negotiating with developed economies, protecting sensitive sectors while expanding access in competitive areas, and has seen double-digit export growth.
