India-US Interim Trade Deal Expected by April, Says Piyush Goyal

- •Free trade agreements with the UK and Oman are also expected to be operational in April, with New Zealand's pact by September.
- •The deal follows US President Donald Trump's announcement of tariff reductions on India from 50% to 18%.
- •Under the agreement, India will reduce Russian crude oil imports, and the US will remove a 25% penalty on Indian shipments.
- •Nearly half of India’s exports to the US will be duty-free, 35% will face lower tariffs, and sensitive agricultural products are excluded.
