Mamata advances Banglar Yuva Sathi launch, West Bengal youth to get Rs 1,500 monthly

• West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee advanced the launch of the Banglar Yuva Sathi unemployment assistance scheme from August 15 to April 1.
• The scheme provides Rs 1,500 per month to educated but unemployed youth aged 21-40 who have passed Madhyamik and are West Bengal residents.
• Beneficiaries will receive assistance until they secure employment and can still avail existing scholarship programs.
• Special camps will be held across all 294 Assembly constituencies from February 15-26 for physical application submission.
• The scheme was unveiled in the interim Budget with an allocation of Rs 5,000 crore for the next financial year.
