Private Mini Aircraft Crash-Lands in Karnataka, Pilots Safe After Fuel Starvation
•
A Cessna 172 trainer aircraft from Redbird Flight Training Academy made a forced landing in Karnataka due to suspected fuel starvation.
•
The aircraft, VT-EUC, flying from Kalaburagi to Belagavi, crash-landed in an open field near Vijayapura, breaking into three pieces.
•
Both the flight instructor, Captain Kunal Malhotra, and trainee pilot, Goutham Sankar P R, are safe after undergoing medical checkups.
•
The 1975-manufactured plane's certificate of airworthiness was issued in September 2023, and its ARC is valid until August 2026.
•
DGCA/AAIB will conduct further investigation into the incident, with initial reports suggesting pilots forgot to uplift enough fuel.
