BNP Sweeps Panchagarh Constituencies, Sarjis Alam Loses in Bangladesh Election 2026

BNP secures victory in both Panchagarh-1 and Panchagarh-2 constituencies in the Bangladesh Election 2026.
•
Sarjis Alam, NCP's chief organizer and 11-party alliance candidate, lost to BNP's Naushad Zamir in Panchagarh-1.
•
Naushad Zamir won Panchagarh-1 with 174,430 votes, while Sarjis Alam received 166,126 votes.
•
Farhad Hossain Azad of BNP won Panchagarh-2 with 174,650 votes, defeating Jamaat's Md. Shafiullah Sufi.
•
The election saw 51 parties and 2,029 candidates, including 80 female candidates, participating.
