Godda-Pirpainti Rail Project Accelerates: Tender Out for Phase 1, 420 Acres Needed

• Tender for the first phase, laying the rail line between Godda and Mahagama, has been opened.
• The 62 km project, estimated at Rs 1393 crore, will be completed in two phases; a 32 km new line is also proposed for Vikramshila-Katoria.
• A significant 4 km rail bridge over the Ganga River is planned, enhancing regional connectivity.
• Approximately 420 acres of land are required for the project, with 150 acres already provided by the Jharkhand government.
