AP Inter 1st Year Exams 2026: Key Changes, Papers Reduced to 5
- •Andhra Pradesh Board of Intermediate Education (BIEAP) announced significant changes to the Inter 1st Year exam pattern starting from the 2025-26 academic year.
- •The number of papers for science groups (MPC, BiPC) has been reduced from six to five.
- •Maths A & B are now combined into a single 'Mathematics' paper (100 marks), and Botany & Zoology into 'Biology' (85 marks).
- •Theory marks for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology have been increased to 85, with 30 marks for practicals introduced in the 2nd year.
- •Other changes include full implementation of NCERT syllabus, new question types (MCQs, fill-in-the-blanks), and a new EMBiPC group option.
Why It Matters: New AP Inter exam pattern reduces student stress and aids national test prep.
