Ayurveda Warning: Avoid Curd in Fagun-Chait (Feb-Mar) for These People
•Ayurvedacharya Dr. Ranjan Kumar advises caution with curd consumption during Fagun-Chait (February-March) due to its 'Abhishyandi' nature, meaning it can cause blockages.
•The spring season's transition from cold to warm affects immunity and digestion, making curd consumption potentially increase Kapha and worsen cold, cough, or allergy symptoms.
•Ayurvedic texts prohibit curd in Sharad (autumn), Grishma (summer), and Basant (spring) seasons as it can exacerbate Kapha and digestive issues, especially when Jatharagni (digestive power) is weak.
•Curd is beneficial in Hemant (early winter) and Shishir (late winter) due to strong digestive power; limited consumption is okay in rainy season, but avoid regularly from spring to July.
•For those who must consume it, whisked curd or buttermilk is preferred over thick curd, as it's lighter and easier to digest; individuals with asthma, allergies, or piles should be extra cautious.
