Burhanpur Man Protests Job Loss with Tricolor, Broom; Alleges Bribery Dismissal

Sanjay Singh, a former Burhanpur Municipal Corporation sanitation worker, protested at the Collector's office with a tricolor flag and broom.
•
He claims dismissal in 2018 after refusing to pay a Rs 2,000 monthly bribe to a sector officer in 2017-18.
•
Singh, who worked as a daily wage worker since 1988, stated his family is struggling and his 10+ complaints went unaddressed.
•
Collector Praveen Singh heard his plea for immediate reinstatement during the public hearing.
•
Municipal Commissioner Sandeep Srivastava assured Local 18 that the matter would be investigated and resolved soon.
