Satna DFO Mayank Chandiwala's Inspiring Journey: From IIT to IFS in First Attempt

• Mayank Chandiwala, Satna DFO, achieved selection in the Indian Forest Service (IFS) in his very first attempt, inspired by his mother's dream of him becoming a Collector.
• Hailing from an ordinary business family with no administrative service background, Mayank's decision to pursue civil services was unique and courageous.
• After completing B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur, he initially prepared for Civil Services but shifted to IFS due to a change in exam pattern and his technical background.
• His first IFS posting was in Mandsaur, followed by West Betul, Guna, and Shajapur, before his current posting in Satna, his fifth forest division.
