India Boosts Electronics Manufacturing: 22 New ECMS Proposals Approved, 33,791 Jobs Created

• Government approves 22 new proposals under the Electronic Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS) to boost domestic production.
• Major companies like Dixon, Motherson, Hindalco, and BPL are part of these projects, with a total investment of ₹41,863 crore.
• The initiatives are expected to generate production worth ₹2,58,152 crore and create 33,791 direct employment opportunities.
• Manufacturing will include critical components like lithium-ion cells, displays, and camera modules for various sectors across 8 states.
