Bengaluru Seals 4 Hostels Over Safety, Food Violations; Is Your PG Next?

• Four paying guest (PG) facilities in Bengaluru have been sealed by authorities due to serious violations of hygiene and safety regulations.
• The action was taken by officials from the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) North Zone and the Health Department after repeated warnings.
• Investigations revealed poor kitchen hygiene, improper food storage, inadequate waste disposal, and other unsanitary conditions in the sealed PGs.
• Two men's PGs and two ladies' PGs, including Sharda Ladies PG and Shri Anjani Ladies PG in Shettihalli, Attur, and Yelahanka 4th Stage, were affected.
• Officials warn of continued strict action against non-compliant PGs and advise residents to check hygiene and safety standards before choosing accommodation.
