CISF to Recruit 91,790 Personnel Over 5 Years; Major Boost for Security
•CISF will recruit 91,790 personnel over the next five years, strengthening security at airports, seaports, and sensitive installations.
•The recruitment aims to fill approximately 14,000 posts annually, including constables and other roles, with 21,790 posts in the Fire Wing.
•The Ministry of Home Affairs approved increasing CISF's authorized strength from 2 lakh to 2.2 lakh by August 2025, a 10% increase.
•Significant focus on women's participation: 12.75% women recruited in 2025, 8-9% projected for 2026, and 10% reservation in training.
•10 new establishments, including Noida International Airport and Navi Mumbai Airport, were brought under CISF security between April 2025 and January 2026.
