India seals ₹5,083 Cr defense mega-deal for Coast Guard helicopters, Russian missiles

India signed two defense agreements worth ₹5,083 crore on March 3, 2026, in New Delhi.
•
First deal: ₹2,901 crore with HAL for 6 Advanced Light (Dhruv) Helicopters (ALH Mk-III) for the Indian Coast Guard.
•
These helicopters will enhance maritime surveillance, fishermen's safety, and environmental monitoring, boosting 'Make in India'.
•
Second deal: ₹2,182 crore with Russia's Rosoboronexport for 'Vertical Launch Shtil' missiles for the Indian Navy.
•
Missiles will strengthen naval air defense on warships, reinforcing India-Russia defense ties.
