Gujarat, Tamil Nadu Voter Lists See Massive 97 Lakh Names Removed in SIR Process

• The Election Commission released draft voter lists for Gujarat and Tamil Nadu after the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process.
• Approximately 97 lakh voters were removed from Gujarat's draft list due to being shifted/absent (51.86 lakh), deceased (18.07 lakh), or duplicates (3.81 lakh).
