NFR Boosts Electrification: Araria-Thakurganj Section Gets 132 kV Line

• Northeast Frontier Railway commissioned a 132 kV transmission line in the Araria-Thakurganj section.
• The 5.9 km overhead line from Araria GSS to Araria TSS was commissioned on December 17, 2025.
• This infrastructure enhances power availability, operational reliability, and capacity for electric trains in North Bihar.
• PCEE inspected and commissioned the Araria and Araria Court–Bibiganj section (67.186 RKM) on October 30, 2025.
• The project aligns with Indian Railways' net-zero carbon emissions goal by 2030, promising faster, more efficient trains.
