Barmer-Munabao Track to Get 'Digital Kavach': India's Safest Route in 18 Months

• North Western Railway's Jodhpur Division to implement indigenous 'Kavach-4.0' system on border tracks like Barmer-Munabao.
• Project cost is approximately ₹79.17 crore, aiming to make these routes high-tech and internationally safe.
• 'Kavach-4.0' prevents head-on collisions, automatically applies brakes, and maintains safe distances, especially in poor visibility.
• The system will be based on a 48-fiber Optical Fiber Cable (OFC) network, covering 9 key Jodhpur Division tracks.
