Sirohi's Brahma Kumaris Turn Waste into Power & Fertilizer: A Green Revolution
•Brahma Kumaris institution in Sirohi district is converting household wet waste into electricity and organic fertilizer.
•The initiative at their Sanitation Park in Abu Road, Umarni, generates 6,000 units of electricity and 10 lakh liters of organic fertilizer monthly.
•The plant, established three years ago with contributions from BK Glass Peter Bhai (Germany) and solar plant engineers, processes 3-3.5 tons of wet waste daily.
•Wet waste is processed into a liquid solution, fed into a digester tank to produce biogas, which then generates electricity via a generator.
•The organic liquid fertilizer, produced at 3,000-4,000 liters daily, is used for vegetable, crop production, and horticulture.
