Beware! Train Passengers Drugged, Robbed; Interstate Thief Nabbed in Secunderabad

• Secunderabad GRP apprehended Sameer (55), an interstate thief from Kolkata, for drugging and robbing train passengers.
• Sameer's modus operandi involved befriending passengers, offering them sedative-laced food like dates or laddus, and then stealing their valuables.
• He has a criminal history, previously caught by Bengaluru police in 2011 for similar crimes and served a four-year sentence.
• Two recent cases involved robbing Sai Varun of cash, gold, and a cell phone, and Sanjay Madhur Mohan of gold, silver, and cash.
• Police recovered 27 grams of gold jewelry and 2 cell phones; passengers are warned not to accept food from strangers and to report suspicious activity.
